The Hobbit Movie

I have been faced with many “discussions” on Lord Of The Rings movies vs The Hobbit movies.

I know a lot of people who have seen and read all of them, and they proclaim their opinions quite loudly stating that “The Hobbit movies do not follow the book.” At one point, someone said, “There is only one book, so they should not have split it up in three movies!” So I have chosen this topic to “defend” the book and the movies.
Don’t Compare.
Although a movie might be based on a book, it does not change the fact that they were portrayed in two different forms: one book the other movies. I feel a book and it’s movie should not be compared to each other.
If you ever heard the quote “Never judge a book by its cover”, then you have probably heard of the quote “Never judge a book by its movie”.
Well, to fit the contents I have switched it up, “Never judge a movie by its book’s sequel” and along with that “Never judge a good movie by its book”. In this case, The Lord Of The Rings is the sequel, written after “The Hobbit” but about the same characters. Though it does not have the same “main” character both “main” characters were brought into each other's books and movies. So, we can call The Lord Of The Rings the sequel of The Hobbit and by doing this I have gathered both the attention of The Hobbit lovers and its haters.
The Hobbit movies should not be compared with The Lord Of The Rings movies though both movies share similar stories and -like I said- characters, but they are all unique creations. A movie and a book are different no matter what their stories and the creations should not be faltered by comparison.
Peter Jackson Film.
Just to point out the facts, books are usually longer than movies, that is why The Hobbit was split up into three movies. That and Peter Jackson (the director) only directs trilogies. Makes sense, right? They must have worked really hard to fit all the scenes in each movie. Yes, they probably didn’t use every scene and probably added some of their own scenes, but honestly think about it! If you wanted to have a Hobbit movie unedited and untouched by the directors and writers, then you can watch the kiddy movie “The Hobbit” I think I’ve seen it at the Library in the kid’s section once or twice. But if you want an epic Peter Jackson film then you could expect an amazing director like him to have his writers add a few things and he would allow himself to add a few details to make the story more realistic. Let’s be real here, set the movie apart from its book, wasn’t it great?
As an example, someone said to me “dwarfs are not supposed to be cute!” But, neither were Hobbits, but no one disagreed when Elijah Wood got the part as Frodo, and besides, it can’t be expected that every dwarf looks ugly, at least some would look a little attractive, and besides if the actors bring the characters alive why should anyone  argue about how they look like?

All in all, The Hobbit movies and book are both great I think we can all agree that the movie’s acting, script, directing, editing, graphics, and publicizing were great.
And that is all that it takes to make a marvelous movie.
